Entry 1 (Hype)

            In the article “Hype” by Kalle Lasn discusses that hype is the most general path to promote products in the commercial advertisements, and it becomes a necessary part of the commercial. Advertisement is the form of communication intended to persuade an audience to purchase or take some action upon products, idea services. Nowadays advertisement is effective way to publicize fresh things with authority in this community, and it is an only powerful way let people well-known in the world. Moreover, advertisements fill around our community every day, and it appears in the front of our eyes at anywhere and anytime.
             I strongly agree with Kalle Lasn’s view, advertisement is appearing at whatever people take every single action at anywhere or anytime. According to the article “Every day an estimated 12 billion display ads, 3 million radio commercials, and more than 200,000 TV commercials are dumped into North America’s collective unconscious”. That’s why the author said that “anywhere your eyes can possibly come to rest it now a place that, in corporate America’s view, can and ought to be filled with a logo or product message”. Therefore, people are hard to avoid seeing advertisements. In fact, people can easily see a lot of advertisements from newspaper, magazine, TV, radio or website; even people step out at a street or taking transportation. However, advertisements distribute everywhere of our daily life.
            In addition, advertisement is playing an important role in our living. It benefits both side between people and commercial. People can get some new information as fast as possible from it; people know products existing and decide to purchase or take some actions. On the other hand, commercial uses advertisement to promote products, and commercial receives a great result of sales volume from it. It also relates to economy increase.
            In conclusion, there are thousands of advertisements appear in our community at every moment, people can vision them whatever they do. However, advertisement always easily display in the front of our eyes. It is exactly prove the author said that “there is nowhere to run. No one is exempt and no one will be spared”.
